Project Description
Following the success of their collaboration on the seafront restaurant area, KE once again enhances the hospitality experience at the historic Hotel Casa Bianca al Mare in Jesolo with an ambitious new project: “1923 Casa Bianca“. The name of the new rooftop bar pays tribute to the year the historic hotel was founded, creating an ideal bridge between the vintage charm of the original building and the contemporary feel of a space designed for elegant relaxation. Set on the hotel’s terrace with a front-row view of the Adriatic, the venue offers a bright, relaxed and intimate atmosphere, where the golden light of sunset accompanies guests during aperitivo hour.
A Bespoke Design Challenge
The project saw KE’s Contract division, working alongside Arch. Rosario Picciotto of Studio RPC8, develop a highly customized 180 m² solution. The main challenge lay in integrating a new covered volume within a prestigious architectural setting, while ensuring maximum shading and visual continuity with the surrounding landscape.
The project is built around an aluminium structure of considerable technical complexity, within which a Gennius T1 pergola was installed, chosen for its clean aesthetics and its versatility and strength.
Gennius T1 is a retractable awning featuring a fabric cover fixed to a system of cross-bars, carriages and guides that allow it to slide horizontally and open completely. The fabric, made of PVC-coated polyester, offers high strength and mechanical resistance, ensuring excellent performance. Its perfectly matte surface, with minimal light reflection, gives the structure a light, refined appearance while maintaining high technical performance. The fabric is also fire-resistant, adding a further level of safety, and its gentle swaying movement creates a charming, romantic atmosphere, especially at sunset.
To ensure easy access and smooth guest flow, a fixed, climate-controlled entrance lobby was also built, fitted with an automatic door and side glazing, designed to give guests a welcoming and functional entry experience.
Aluminium sun louvres round out the design, regulating solar exposure and modulating natural light within the space. As well as improving light control, they shelter guests from the wind and define the architecture with a clean aesthetic and a precise geometric rhythm.
The synergy between the client’s needs, the architect’s vision and KE’s engineering has created a space where exceptional lightness of performance generates unrivalled pleasure.

Thanks to KE’s ability to turn its manufacturing expertise into tailor-made solutions the new “1923 Casa Bianca” rooftop blends naturally into the hotel’s architectural language, turning the terrace into the new destination for a relaxed aperitivo in Jesolo.
