A farmhouse standing among the hills in the upper Tevere valley, in the central-northern area of the Apennine Mountains. The work of the best artisans in this area managed to build this farmhouse ex novo, with careful attention to each detail, surrounded by acres of parkland and olive groves.

Laying on three floors – one in the basement and two outside – the farmhouse also features a chill-out area with a swimming pool and a solarium, on top of a small hill from which it is possible to admire a stunning view of Città di Castello and its valley.

The aim of the owner was to take full advantage of the chill-out area; this is why he wanted to build an outdoor kitchen to be used in summer for outdoor barbecues or aperitifs by the pool.

KE designed the perfect solution to shelter the kitchen area – in collaboration with KE Store Andrea Vandini from Città di Castello. A versatile, functional covering such as Kedry Prime was recommended; Kedry Prime is the aluminium louvered-roof pergola with an essential style and tailored finishes, such as the led strips on the gutter and louvers that in the evening can create an appealing lounge effect.

Designed in a black inver shade with contrasting white louvers, Kedry PRIME gives shelter from sunrays, wind, humidity and is also highly efficient in case of rain – thanks to a careful design of its moving parts.

This structure can be closed through sliding panoramic glass doors or through Vertika Prime side roller awnings. The fabric’s range variety (transparent, filtering and black-out) allows to have the desired level of shading.

For this peculiar structure, four Vertika Prime – in a vintage black-out fabric – were chosen, with the double function of shading during summer days and giving shelter to the outdoor kitchen and furniture during winter days.
